You don't really know the Prophecies story well, do you? As the "hero", you do plenty of "evil" things in the name of "good". Some of your enemies are the same, while some others are as you say. And then there is the BBEG (big bad evil guy) who wishes to awaken an ancient power so he can control the world. Not exactly evil for the sake of evil.

Yeah, the problem was too many idiots complained about how the Phrophecies storyline was "stupid" or "overly complex" for just those same reasons, and thus all the other campaigns have much more dirrect good vs evil storylines.
Basically, you can't please everybody.

From the point of view of the hero the actions are always the right ones. Only later is there some doubt about them, but even then you can salvage the mess you created. The structure is "Action - Plot Twist - Salvage Operation - Plot Twist -Salvage - etc". I was more referring to plots where you as the hero do something evil, that you know is evil the second you do it, but even then you don't stop, because something is compelling you to do it that way. That's not something Prophecies can offer, Nightfall has that in the form of Palawa Joko, but NF is not really playing that card to its full strenght.
As far as the Lich goes, he is even more generic in his plan than Dr. Evil who in himself is a parody of badguys. "I do convoluted things to destroy the world, muwahahahaah". Axe > Head -> End of plot.

For me it's everything during and after the New Jedi Order series. Haven't finished it and I don't plan to, nor move on to the legacy of the force.

I found GW2 News!
http://news.bigdownload.com/2008/08/...ies-announced/
If you read you see "Plans to be released in 2009". I don't know how true it is, but it's something...

I think they meant that the book would be released in 2009.
However, it would be nice if they did release GW2 in 2009.

I don't see this meaning a book:
Guild Wars series of games and the upcoming full sequel Guild Wars 2, scheduled to launch sometime in 2009. No author or release dates for the novels were revealed.

Nice, a novel!
I allways liked those "lore" stories at the guildwar's website.
Too bad they stoped after the first 6 months.

a possible maybe is not news.
The beta was supposed to happen this year initially and it was postponed. It's impossible to predict what the release date will be because Anet themselves do not say more than 2009/2010. So maybe they are right about 2009 maybe not...

I count the novel as news enough, as it explains what happened that makes us have to save the world again?

Meh, my bad -_-
That's what I get for skimming.
However, I would much prefer a 2010 release and a stable, exploit-free, finished game, rather than a 2009 release that gives us a buggy, half-baked game.

If i come into a large sum of money i will be investing heavily in anet to push forward the release date now.
On a more serious note: Anet have stated many times that if news on release dates is not posted on their site or on wiki by an anet employee then it is to be treated as a baseless rumour.

A lore novel is more than good enough for me! I'm still itching to find out the rest of the story.

Exploit-free? Highly unlikely. They can take 4 more years and someone will find some sort of exploit within the game. As for bugs, I don't know of a game free of them.
